Spring is Finally Here!!

Kaitlyn and I had quite a "full" day with two playdates and two trips to the park... got some great pics that I thought I'd share. We meet up with some of my girlfriends at the park this morning and some how we are now outnumbered by the number of kids :) My how life has changed for all of us in the past few years!

This afternoon we went on an impromptu walk to the neighborhood park with our neighbor Doug and his daughter, Katelynn. Katelynn had a super fun wagon that we took to the park and the girls (without us convincing them) each took turns pulling one another in the wagon on the walk home - it was hilarious!!!

Hoping that the weather is just as nice for the rest of our "girls weekend".... Brad's in Austin for his "boy's weekend" and we miss him already :)

Happy Easter!!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter! We had a great weekend filled with sunshine (yet still cold) and lots of Easter egg hunts….on Saturday we went to the Easter Egg Hunt at the park with Avery, Hunter and Grant. Little did we know that it was going to be a mad dash of parents taking all of the eggs before the little kids could get any for themselves. As you can see from the pics it was a beautiful day but still quite chilly….Kaitlyn was insistent on putting her hat and gloves on before leaving the house – what have I done to this poor child :) On Sunday we went to church and meet up with our best pal, Avery, and Betsy and Dave for brunch and a little private Easter egg hunt at the U of M Diag so the girls were sure to get some eggs this time :)

Not too much else to report these days – the housing news is that there’s no news :( Keep your fingers crossed that the nice weather, hopefully coming soon, brings more buyers or I’m going to start stressing here pretty soon. Anyways, hope everyone has a great week!

NOLA!!

We just got back from a GREAT trip to NOLA for Aunt Lindsey's engagement party and LOTS of fun with everyone!! Kaitlyn and I flew down on Thursday and came back Tuesday night and Brad was able to make a quick trip from Friday night to Sunday. We had a blast watching Pops boil 300 lbs (yes, 300!!) of crawfish, seeing lots of family and friends, playing soccer outside, blowing bubbles, and entertaining EVERYONE with our silly tricks!! Here are LOTS of pics from the long weekend....Enjoy!

Boy has life changed since the 4th grade when we all met.... Jen and Kell are my best friends from home with whom I shared countless memories and good times in high school... life's a bit different these days with Jen's boys (Jax,4, and Rhett, 3) Kelly's little girls (Kate and Lilly, 8 wks) and Kaitlyn in our lives. Hopefully these little guys won't ever hear the stories of their Momma's escapades back in the day :)

Girls' Weekend - Austin!!

This past weekend I meet up with my three best friends from college, Christina, Alison and Kathryn in Austin, TX. We had a wonderful weekend of catching up and much needed relaxation. Thanks to Alison's in-laws, we stayed at their beautiful house on Lake Travis and down the street from a wondeful spa (Lakeway Spa and Resort). In between lots of laughter and several beverages, we spent the weekend getting a massage, shopping, soaking up sunshine, eating great food, and playing with Ali's new puppy, Molly! It was the perfect weekend with three people that I miss dearly. I wish we could all live in the same city forever! I miss you girls tons already!!! Thank you for a WONDERFUL weekend! Can't wait to do it again!

We're all headed to NOLA tomorrow for my sister's engagement party / crawfish boil so we'll have plenty of pics from that when we get back next week! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
